"The Proof is in the Pudding"

The value of the knowledge and awareness of  each individual was just proven to me by a 16 year old young man this morning! It's called DUE DILIGENCE! My son emailed me the following note...


Dad, I just received this email and I'm pretty sure it's a scam, since it doesn't make any sense at all. Since you're working on a book about scams I thought you might enjoy this......

So, what did I do about my son's note? I replied as if from me, just to garner more details. As of the moment, I've not heard back. Then I sent a note to James Perry at Fraud.org with a copy of the above email. James' repliy was prompt and precise........................

It's what's known as a "Fake Check Scam" and a "Reshipping Scam". Just Google the scam's name and more info from the post office will com up.   ...............You know, I believe were all equipped with that extra sense that warns us when something smells fishy. We can either  ignore the warning or do like your son, be cautious and investigate.
